The Dimensions of Inner Freedom and Outer Unity

Broadcast on September 19, 2016
With Mark Naseck & Dr. Ibrahim Jaffe

In this session with Mordechai and Ibrahim, we will explore separation as the root cause of violent extremism, racial hatred and and other forms of violence. We will then discuss ancient principles of oneness and unity that are common to many spiritual traditions. These principles will be brought to life by highlighting practical ways to engage people perceived as "the other" so that compassion and the best of our humanity are awakened. Our speakers will share first-hand experiences in bridging Muslim-Christian-Jewish divides in the Middle East and the US.

The session opens with the song "Priestly Blessing from the Temple of Solomon" (melody by Jai Utal) performed with lead vocals by Gabriel Meyer Halevey & Amir Paiss (guitar) and solos by Yungchen Lhamo, Hassan Hakmoun, Vishal Vaid, Haale. The lyrics are Numbers 6: 23-27 - The Priestly Blessing.

The session closes with Yehudah Katz performing "Calling Out to You" which was composed by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach and arranged by Yehudah Katz.
