The Sacred Feminine and Peace
Chloë Goodchild is an international singer and innovatory educator. Her pioneering voice work gave birth to The Naked Voice Foundation in 1990, and its Charitable Foundation (2004). This groundbreaking work has brought the universal power of voice and sound, as an essential listening tool and catalyst for conscious communication, accessible to everyone, from our children to our world leaders. Deafness in childhood catalysed Chloë’s discovery of inner sound and silence. This deep encounter with her inner self, catalysed a life time’s experiential research of the voice as one of humanity’s most untapped resources for personal and global evolution and transformation.
Chloë studied Music, English and Education at Cambridge and Norwich universities (1972 – 76) where she graduated as a Music-English teacher with a B.Ed Hons degree. From the late 70′s she evolved her own East-West vocal research, influenced by travels through Africa, India, the Middle East, Europe, USA and Canada. Chloe’s visionary sound research has inspired national and international mediation initiatives, with international policy-makers; and more recently, within indigenous communities such as the Blackfeet Medicine elders; as well as the terminally ill, exploring the healing properties of sound for the benefit of individual and collective self-discovery and creative conflict resolution. For over 30 years, Chloe has facilitated literally 1000’s of individuals and groups worldwide, to explore their own voice, sound and song as a catalyst for spiritual practice and awakening, transforming separateness and fear into all-inclusive love, and ultimately a direct experience of the Self.
Chloe has authored several books, notably her consummate book "The Naked Voice, Transform Your Life through the Power of Sound" (North Atlantic Books 2015) and autobiographical Memoir, The Naked Voice, A Singer's Journey to the Spirit of Sound (Rider Books 1993). Chloe is a Sounds True Author of "Awakening through Sound" and her acclaimed Shift Network Trainings are enabling a global audience to gain direct access to the liberation that sound and vocal expression can bring in the realization of inner peace, presence and interconnectedness. Chloe's music recordings have been performed and celebrated at international mediation initiatives in Madison Square Gardens, where she co-directed the musical version of 'The Vagina Monologues'; at the London Royal Opera House (Transforming September 11th), and in the presence of HH Dalai Lama(The Way of Peace, Northern Ireland, The Meridian Trust, and at London University with Father Lawrence Freeman, director of Christian Meditation Movement).
