BROTHER SATYANANDA As a monk of Paramahansa Yogananda’s Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) monastic community for over 30 years, Brother Satyananda has inspired audiences in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand with his dynamic presentations on the ancient philosophy of Yoga and the time-honored science of meditation. Presently he resides at the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, Calif., where he serves as minister in charge. Brother Satyananda — whose name denotes “the attainment of bliss through truth” — was born in San Diego, California. He became a SRF monk in 1975, a few years after graduating from San Diego State University, where he studied business and sociology.
