Bob Baskin was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Spotlight Analysis, LLC, where he led the development of products and services for political and non-profit markets, introducing innovative corporate techniques that better identify and move persuadable voters than traditional voter targeting models. After 6 years as Chief of Staff for former Congressman Sam Gejdenson (CT -2), Bob held several key positions, including Minority Staff Director of the Committee on House Oversight (now House Administration), Associate Administrator for Field Operations at the U.S. Small Business Administration during the Clinton Administration, and Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, chaired by Senator John Kerry. 

Bob was a senior officer at the prestigious international marketing and consulting firm, Yankelovich, where he initially started up the government/public policy division and, subsequently, headed strategic planning, marketing, product development, and operations for all syndicated research services.  He has also taught in inner city public schools and has been a public finance investment banker, a corporate marketing officer, and a small business owner.

Madeline Rose

Legislative Associate for Foreign Policy at FCNL, Former Project Coordinator for the United Nations Division for Sustainable

Madeline Rose is a Legislative Associate for Foreign Policy at FCNL, managing the Peaceful Prevention of Deadly Conflict program. In this capacity, she is responsible for building awareness in Congress and the Administration around the root causes driving violent conflicts and mass atrocities in the 21st century and advocating for proactive, peaceful and preventive solutions to address them. She also coordinates the Prevention and Protection Working Group, a coalition of human rights, religious, humanitarian, anti-genocide, peace and other organizations dedicated to improving U.S. government policies and civilian capacities to prevent violent conflict, mass atrocities, and protect civilians threatened by such crises.

Madeline joins FCNL after nearly 2 years in Congressman Mike Honda’s policy office. Prior, she served as a Project Coordinator for the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development, where she contributed to an interagency UN project on natural resource management and conflict prevention. She has worked on conflict prevention at the community level in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Liberia; and spearheaded the first-ever greenhouse gas accounting and corporate social responsibility reports for Silicon Valley tech company, NetApp.

Madeline graduated from Occidental College with a B.A. in Diplomacy & World Affairs and a minor in Sociology. She is a Center for Progressive Leadership New Leaders Fellow and girls’ basketball coach in Washington DC.
