Corina Simon

Project Coordinator for Children of the Earth, Youth and Peace Project Coordinator at the Center of Unity Schweibenalp

Corina Simon is a young international peaceworker from Romania. She is currently Project Coordinator for Children of the Earth in USA and Youth and Peace Project Coordinator at the Center of Unity Schweibenalp in Switzerland. Corina works actively for the promotion and establishment of infrastructure for peace as Member of the Board of the Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructure for Peace. As a junior youth trainer in peacebuilding she has been involved in children and youth participation in peace programme of Save the Children Norway in regional workshops in Africa and Central America. Corina began action for peace in 2005 at the Romanian peacebuilding NGO Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania. She has also been involved in a consultancy on operational violence prevention for the Commonwealth Secretariat and contributed to an Operational Guidance Note for the inter-governmental organisation. Corina is deepening her experience in peacebuilding through joining transformative mediation, developing youth trainings, enabling peacemaking processes and peace initiatives development as well as supporting various peacebuilding organizations and individuals upon request.

Karoline Buys

International Program Coordinator for Children of the Earth

Karoline Buys is the International Program Coordinator for “Children of the Earth”, a NGO that unites and inspires young people world-wide to help create a peaceful and sustainable world through personal and social transformation. Born in Colombia and currently living in Germany, Karoline, a frequent speaker at world events, tirelessly travels around the world spreading her powerful message of forgiveness and encouraging young people to expand their consciousness and become active Peace-builders in their own respective communities.
