Join Barbara Gaughen-Muller, the founder of Gaughen Global Public Relations, Al Jubitz, highly sought after Rotarian speaker, and Rudy Westervelt, the 2015-16 Rotary District 5330 Governor, as they discuss how Rotarians connect around the world to create peace and goodwill. Rudy Westervelt

2015-16 Rotary District 5330 Governor, CEO Road 2 Excellence, Motivational Spkr

Rudy Westervelt has a BS degree from Cornell University and a MS degree from the University of Connecticut. He has authored numerous technical papers, has several patents, and is called on as an industry expert in food safety and manufacturing. Rudy served in a variety of leadership positions with The Kroger Co. He spent five years in St. Louis as Manager of Quality Control for a meat processing plant. He moved into meat distribution as manager and transferred to the Atlanta Meat Plant. This started his nearly 20 years in Atlanta. He transferred to Atlanta Perishable Distribution as Manager over meat, produce and dairy distribution for 162 Kroger stores. He then transferred to the position of Manager of Grocery and Frozen Food for the Atlanta Division. In this role, he had 1000 employees and 1 million sq. ft. of distribution space in this 24 hour/ 7 day a week operation. He became General Manager of Centennial Farms Dairy processing plant in Atlanta. In 2001, he transferred to Riverside, California as General Manager of Riverside Creamery. He retired in 2006 to start his own company, Road2Excellence, Inc dba Power in Learning. Rudy founded Power in Learning with the mission of helping individuals and organizations achieve their goals and improve their chance of success. He is a motivational speaker and a business coach, helping individuals and organizations handle change effectively. He has consulted not only for manufacturing facilities, but also for a software company which turned data into actionable information. In his Rotarian life, he is a member of the Rotary E-Club of World Peace, D5330. In District 5330, he was the District Governor for 2015-16, Executive Assistant Governor, a member of the Visioning Team, a Rotary Leadership Institute facilitator, a facilitator for PETS, and has been District Trainer. With Zone 26, Rudy has been Assistant Rotary Coordinator and a member of the Zone 25 & 26 Training Cadre. He currently is Programs Chair for Zone 25/26 Institute 2017. He was the chair and convener of the Rotary World Peace Conference 2016, named as a Presidential Peace Conference. He was the Programs Chair for the Presidential Pre-Convention Peace Conference in Atlanta. He currently is one of two advisors to Rotary International President Riseley’s series of six Presidential Conferences.
