Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, PhD, is a renowned spiritual leader, author and motivational speaker. Sadhviji has been ordained into the sacred order of sanyas by her guru H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and has been living at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India for the past 25 years. She is secretary-general of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, president of Divine Shakti Foundation, and director of the world-famous International Yoga Festival (covered by CNN, Time, The New York Times and other widely-read publications.)

Sadhvi serves on the United Nations Advisory Council on Religion, the steering committees of the International Partnership for Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD,) and the Moral Imperative to End Extreme Poverty (a campaign by the United Nations and World Bank.) She was also managing editor of the monumental project compiling the 11-volume Encyclopedia of Hinduism. She oversees a variety of humanitarian projects, teaches meditation, lectures, writes, counsels individuals and families, and serves as a unique female voice of spiritual leadership throughout India and the world.

Yoga is spreading around the world as more and more people are turning to it for health benefits, peace of mind and spiritual awakening. The deeper essence of yoga goes far beyond physical asanas and can provide remedies for modern challenges. In this conversation, we will explore the ancient wisdom of yoga and how it can serve as a foundational daily practice for tapping into a deep sense of inner peace, expanded sense of compassion, higher levels intuition and experiences of grace. We also will explore how yoga can inspire and guide meaningful action aligned with universal spiritual principles.
