Andrew Himes is author of The Sword of the Lord: The Roots of Fundamentalism in an American Family (Chiara Press, May 2011). He was an activist in the Southern civil rights movement before becoming a technologist. In the 80s, he founded MacTech, the leading Macintosh technology journal, then in the 90s co-founded the Microsoft Developer Network and published the first website at Microsoft. He co-founded Poets Against the War in 2003, produced the film Voices in Wartime, then founded Voices Education Project in 2004. He was an organizer for Seeds of Compassion in Seattle in 2008.
